Where It All Started.
Dream it.
Gail started gymnastics at Capital Gymnastics National Training Center in Burke, VA at the age of 8 years old. After just a couple of years of training, she was hand picked under the coaching of Tatiana Perskia, the former coach of the 1985 USSR World Champion Oksana Omelianchik. In 1995, by the age of 13, Gail landed her way on the USA National Team where she would then spend the next 3 years, from 1995 thru 1997 representing the United States Of America in the sport of gymnastics.
Since then, Tatiana has gone on to produce numerous National Team gymnasts at Capital Gymnastics, including World Champion medalists, is the International Brevet Judge, and part of the USA Gymnastics National Team coaching staff.

Build it.
During the course of the next 3 years on the USA National Team, training under a very rigorous schedule, Gail developed an elbow injury forcing her into surgery. After rehab and treatment, she was back into action competing on the USA National Team in time for the next season to start. Unfortunately, Gail’s elbow issue returned which lead her into having a second and final operation forcing her to retire from the sport of gymnastics at the young age of 16.
Grow it.
In 1997, Gail started teaching recreational gymnastics, while going to school to study General Studies In Science, leading her into her personal training career. Years after Gail retired from gymnastics, she continued to stay in shape thru cardiovascular and weight training exercises.
When working with clients, Gail is extremely sensitive to injuries and limitations, especially those of the knee. It takes a special approach in designing a program to allow the body to build a proper foundation before conforming the exterior, so to speak. Gail specializes in functional training, injury prevention and rehabilitation, weight loss, body composition correction, and overall lifestyle of health and fitness improvements.
Modern Medicine
After gymnastics, Gail started to develop pain in her left knee. The doctor found that a significant part of the lateral posterior part of her femur had broken off from the bone. For the first surgery, the doctor tried to reattach the bone with a pin that desolves over a 1 year time. This put Gail on crutches for the next 8 weeks. 1 year later Gail still felt knee pain. The doctor went back into surgery and found that the bone did not reattach. This area of the knee is too vulnerable and too dependent to leave without support. From there the doctor decided to perform a brand new (at the time), risky, medical procedure called “cartilage harvesting”. He removed some of Gail’s cartilage, sent it to a lab, and harvested (reproduced) it over the next 8 weeks, leaving her on crutches again!
Here comes the third and final surgery, the implantation of the reproduced cartilage to take the place of the now missing bone from her femur. He removed the periosteum (outside layer of bone) from her shin, to blanket the new enhanced cartilage now supporting her knee. Success! 20 years later, her knee is as good as new.
